If you're into the warm sounds of French disco, the wild vibes of the ’80s, and you love discovering hidden gems from dusty record store shelves – DJ Vidal Benjamin is someone you need to know. This Parisian digger, DJ, and vinyl collector has been specializing for years in unearthing forgotten French (and beyond) disco, synth-pop, and boogie gems. Instead of spinning the classics we’ve heard a thousand times, Vidal serves up strange, kitschy, sometimes romantic – but always danceable and atmospheric tracks. 🌍 In 2015, the world got a glimpse of his unique style with a legendary Boiler Room set – a sonic journey through nostalgic French sounds. Think old-school rhythms, VHS-style drum machines, and vocals you’ll either fall in love with or raise an eyebrow at. It was a celebration for fans of crate-digging and offbeat disco. 📀 As a curator and editor, he released two outstanding compilations that have become essential listening for fans of weird and wonderful disco: 🔹 Disco Sympathie (Versatile Records, 2014) – a selection of French disco from the late ’70s and ’80s, carefully dug up and remastered. Expect naive electronics, seductive grooves, and full-on synthesizer madness. 🔹 Pop Sympathie (Born Bad Records, 2022) – a continuation of his musical exploration, this time with more focus on synth-pop and French new wave. It’s a tribute to the VHS era, neon-lit dance floors, and heavily powdered cheeks. 📌 Vidal Benjamin isn’t just a DJ – he’s a selector with the soul of an archaeologist, digging up sounds no one else dares to play. 🇬🇧 It's time to share this year's lineup. In 2024, several new characters will appear on our stage. We also have some comebacks. The first artist to perform at TTLF 2024 is IGN. A local producer and DJ who lives and works in the capital. His productions are saturated with deep house and minimal songs that will welcome you at the beginning of our event. Another artist from Warsaw is Wojtek Bednarski whose mix for NTS Live forecasts a great performance at our stage. The next two artists need no introduction. Elber from the Hedonist duo, whose selection is inspired by classic house, disco, and ro-minimal. After last year's successful debut, Popii also returns to us, whose set was warmly received by you and we still hear positive comments about that performance. Juru, who will come to us from London, represents Ajaa Music label located in the heart of Deptford. The next people to appear on our stage are Mike O'Mara (Love Will Save The Day FM) from Manchester, UK, and the headliner of the event, James Greenwood (Semi-skimmed Edits/Supernature Disco). His edits of disco songs are selling like hot cakes, and both men's sets are filled with a lot of dance energy. The lineup must include U.S.E., who from the beginning of the first edition sets the tone for the entire event.
